Entry requirements
A level: AAB including Mathematics IB: 35 points with a minimum grade of 5 points in Higher level or 7 in Standard Level Mathematics (either Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretations). BTEC: DDD including Mathematics or in conjunction with an acceptable alternative Level 3 Mathematics qualification
About this course
BSc (Hons) Economics and Politics, an undergraduate degree spanning the fields of economics and politics and international relations. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods, and Policy Analysis. Students can undertake a placement year and a year abroad. The first year covers core subjects through Principles of Economics and Political Analysis. The second year focuses on advanced theory with Econometric Analysis, Microeconomic Theory, and Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy. The third year consolidates learning through Contemporary Economic Issues and Analysis and Critical Challenges in Political Economy, alongside a PPE dissertation. Optional modules across the course allow students to explore areas such as European Union Politics, Game Theory, and Health Economics.
