About this course

BSc (Hons) Psychology in Education, an education degree exploring the intersection of psychological theory and educational contexts. Core topics include Research Methods. The course provides Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS). The first year covers foundational concepts through modules such as Psychological Perspectives on Education, Researching Education, Mind, Brain, & Education 1, and Social Psychology in Education. The second year builds upon this with Mind, Brain & Education 2, Developmental Psychology & Education, Qualitative Research Skills, and Special Educational Needs and Disability. The final year involves independent research through a compulsory Dissertation. Students can also select from a broad range of optional modules covering topics such as Education and Global Development, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Assessment in Education, and Bullying in School.
