BEng Intelligent Digital Health Engineering
Entry requirements
A level: ABB including Maths IB: 34 points overall with grade 5 in Higher Level Mathematics - Applications and Interpretation or 5 in Higher Level or Standard Level Mathematics - Analysis and Approaches. BTEC: We consider a range of BTEC qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications. For example: DDM in the BTEC National Extended Diploma plus A level Maths grade B DD in the BTEC National Diploma in any subject plus A level Maths grade B D in the BTEC National Extended Certificate plus AB at A level including Mathematics We consider BTEC Level 3 National Diploma/ Extended Diploma with Unit 7- Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems and Unit 8- Further Engineering Mathematics in place of A Level Mathematics.
About this course
BEng (Hons) Intelligent Digital Health Engineering, a degree centred on intelligent digital health engineering. Core topics include programming and data analysis. Students complete practical coursework through individual and team-based projects embedded throughout the programme, culminating in a final-year individual project. The first year builds fundamental knowledge through Introduction to Engineering, Programming and Digital Interfacing, Mathematics, Engineering Project 1, Digital Electronics, and Analogue Electronics. The second year progresses to Mathematics, Signals and Systems, Engineering Project 2, Control, Sensors and Instrumentation, and Data Analysis and Numerical Methods. The final year focuses on advanced applications, featuring the Individual Final Project, Communications Systems and Digital Communications, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, and Advanced Sensors and Instrumentation.
