About this course
LLB (Hons) Law (Senior Status), an undergraduate law degree designed for graduates of other disciplines, spans two years of full-time study. This qualifying law degree is structured to cover foundational legal subjects alongside practical methodologies. The course is taught using problem-based learning approaches where students work in simulated law firms to address complex legal scenarios. The first year covers core legal foundations through compulsory modules such as Foundations in Law 1, Legal Concepts, Legal and Professional Skills, and Introduction to Law & Society (Senior Status). The second year advances practical capability through modules including Advanced Legal Skills, Foundations in Law 4 (Senior Status), Foundations in Law 5 (Senior Status), and Foundations in Law 6 (Senior Status). Optional modules allow students to explore specialised areas such as Corporate Commercial Case Study, Company Law, Family Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Public International Law.
