Entry requirements

A level: ABB including sociology or a science subject. We will accept the following A level subjects as a science: Biology, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physical Education, Physics, Psychology and Statistics. IB: 34 overall including 5 in sociology or a science subject at Higher Level. BTEC: DDM including sufficient science or sociology-related units We consider a range of BTEC qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications. For example: Distinction, Merit in BTEC Level 3 National Diploma plus B at A Level Distinction in BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate plus BB at A level Distinction, Merit in 2 BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificates plus B at A level Your combination of qualifications must meet the essential subject requirements for the course. About this course

MNurs (Hons) in MNurs (Hons) Masters in Nursing (Child), a nursing (child) degree centred on nursing practice, clinical care, and healthcare study. Core topics include Research Methods. Students complete a four-year curriculum leading to eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a registered nurse. The first year covers the foundations through Biological and Pharmacological Aspects of Health and Wellbeing, Psychological and Sociological Aspects of Health and Wellbeing, Professional Development in Nursing: Introduction to Nursing Inquiry, and Knowledge Applied to Nursing Practice 1. The second year builds on this with Biological and Pharmacological Aspects of Illness across the Lifespan, Psychological and Sociological Aspects of Ill-health, Professional Development in Nursing: Evidence Based Nursing for Practice, and Knowledge Applied to Nursing Practice 3. The third year advances into Person-centred Consultation and Physical Assessment Skills, Applying Psychological and Sociological Aspects to Complex Care, Professional Development in Nursing: Leading and Managing Change, and Knowledge Applied to Nursing Practice 5. The final year concludes with a dissertation titled Dissertation - Advancing Evidence-based Practice and Implementing Research into Practice, alongside Enhanced Patient Assessment and Clinical Decision-making Skills, Knowledge Applied to Nursing Practice 7, and Knowledge Applied to Nursing Practice 8.
