Who is eligible for a contextual offer at University of Manchester?

To be considered for a contextual offer from University of Manchester you need one of the following: a low-participation or high-deprivation postcode, a widening-participation school, care experience, refugee or asylum-seeker status, free school meals or caring responsibilities.

You need any one of these:

• Live in a low-participation or high-deprivation area (quintile 1-2 under IMD, WIMD, NIMDM, SIMD, POLAR4 or TUNDRA)
• Attend a school or college with low progression to university, low results, or on the university's widening-participation list
• Are care-experienced or a care leaver
• Have refugee, asylum-seeker or humanitarian-protection status (you or your family)
• Have been eligible for free school meals
• Have caring responsibilities (a young carer, a parent, or similar)
